map sensor forester ej20

Post by tasscube » Fri Dec 19, 2014 3:36 pm

Hey all was just wondering does anyone know where you can purchase reasonably priced map sensors for subaru foresters, I have enquired at the local bursons store and they quoted me $737 for an original supplier or $435 for a RAE branded one, seems excessive and ebay does not have the map sensor required, the oem part no. is 22627AA130 any help would bed appreciated.

Cool Drive, they are Aus wide. A major supplier for the trade automotive industry but do sell retail.
I bought both a map and oxygen sensor through them for my 01 SF..

Thanks for the leads guys will follow up, wasnt aware of ebay motors but am now (unfortunately only 1 of the advertised sensors was new, already have a used one lol) and will definitely follow up cool drive. Would rather spend $700 elsewhere on my subi.

not a problem

2 of those are listed as new, but none are original parts. as well it seems the same part is used on multiple vehicles.

Yeah appears they are used on several subaru models, so therefore you would think wouldnt be so hard to source at a reasonable cost, its pretty sad that the cheapest way to get a new sensor is to buy it from the USA but Im not desperate at the moment and shouldnt take that long in the mail, so thanks again will let you know how it pans out.

Yeah Australia gets taxed (should read fisted) rather badly when it comes to small businesses, I have had the same problem looking for parts as well.

Hope you can find a reasonably priced part in Australia.

I think a 2008 car would fail to meet the consumer law guidelines as below:

"Manufacturers or importers guarantee they will take reasonable steps to make
spare parts and repair facilities available for a reasonable time after purchase."

The normal rule of thumb is 10 years from date of last manufacture.
1989 Brumby - Shiny new red paint, stroked EJ20 phase 2 SOHC with Darton sleeves bored to EJ22, Wiseco high-compression pistons, Delta 2000 grind cams , EJ/XT6 5 stud with WRX 4/2 pots, 5-speed, 86 GTS seats and so much more.
Contact me for reproduction XT6 hubs...and EA82 rear discs.

Hmm interesting but that's what the parts guy informed me when I rang the hobart subaru dealership, yet they certainly still stock other random parts for my 2000 forry !
