Compressor

Not too sure this is the right section of the forum but it seemed the closest. As I have a GX WD Wagon with Air suspension, is it possible to tap into the compressor so that there is an outlet to pump up my tyres when I get off the beach ? This would just eliminate the need to carry a compressor. Just a thought.

I reckon you'd be there a while, they are pretty slow compressors, don't know what pressure they run at?

I use one of those tall T handled hand pumps that you stand on and pump with two hands, they are quite high volume so it only takes a few pumps. Light and easy to stow in the back, and you get a workout. :D

PS: If you are off-roading in one of those, make sure your air bags are in good nick, I had one pop on me once, they are tied together at the back, so if you loose one you loose the other, this means no suspension travel at one end of the car.

the compressor is a high pressure low volume type.

its been done but it takes ages to pump a tyre up..

you want to buy a low pressure high volume compressor designed for inflating tyres. they arent expensive.

Thanks guys, I will just purchase one, thanks :) Any ideas about my other post in the tyres section ? Any way I will get the Forester 15" wheels and 70 profile tyres to fit under my guards even when the suspension is at standard ride height ? Thanks
