Have a cluster from an import RX (ie with the volts/oil pressure) to be fitted to my EA82T conversion - RX dash cluster already in place and working.

the import dash centre instrutment has the auto transmission info. (mine is a manual)

Sooo, Q1 is what additional wiring/transducers are required, and Q2 can I swap the centre module over?

Several people have told this is straight swap, but i know life just isn't that easy...

thanks

if you have what I think you have I WILL SWAP YOU FOR IT!!!!!

If yours is a 4sp auto one (show me a pic.) I will swap you for the manual one I have. I have a import wagon with that clsuter in it but in manual form. I can pin it out as well.

So what Chris is delicately saying ( :D ) is yes it can be done.

There are four screws on the back of the cluster that hold the centre in. You may have to re-wire the plug - the only way to find out is to try. They are physically swappable if you have a tacho in both clusters.

To get oil pressure working you will need a "gague type" oil pressure sender (not the normal idiot light oil switch). This bolts into the oil pump. You can have the idiot light and gague type senders in at the same time. I have heard a Vortex one fits - I got one from the US.

Volts are obtained from the power in the cluster itself. I dont think you need to wire anything extra for that.

Chris not all Auto RX import dashes are 4 speed remember!
