Heya folks
Hmmm I turn headlights on to low beam and "narda" but push the indicator stem forward for high beam and all 4 headlights light.

Is it a relay or what I ask.

2 of the 4 lights have twin filament bulbs, could be simple as 2 blown bulbs.
Are the lights the sealed or semi-sealed type?

and when you flick lever towards driver, high beam stays on ? Park light circuit work OK? I can confirm that high beam on 92 Brumby al four lights are ON. This is why you wanna get the steering wheel off. Light relays are under dash next to fuse panel ? aluminium silver cylindrical mounted in rubber, never seen one dead.

You gave me a glimmer of hope until I checked for power with my multi meter at the plug going to bub
If twin filament should have power on 2 sides of the 3.....ie normal low beam and then other side when on high.
I have power at relay as below and trigger as well.... everything
I have a break in the feed powering low beam it appears or a plug after the relay has come apart.....weekend job if think

Steptoe might be able to confirm this as I have never actually worked on a brumby.
In the l series the lights are negatively switched, i.e. the common terminal of the light is +12v and the high and low switches earth the high and low filaments.

Yeah, don't get tricked by other makes wiring methods. I think Subie feed battery pos+ to the lights and the switch controls the neg- side - you may find to earth supply a wire will make your bub glow
