Airbag Light 2000 Outback

Post by taza » Fri Mar 08, 2013 12:24 pm

Hey guys,
Got a 2000 EJ25 SOHC Auto Outback in at work with the Airbag light. Non of the other guys know Subaru's...

Trying to clear the code/light... anyone know how to do it? We have a advanced Hanatech Scan tool but am unable to with that. After researching I have found that earthing the OBD II pin 1 and 2 will clear the codes but there are no wires connected to pin 1 and 2 on the port  Mayber that is for the US models.

I have tried replacing the Airbaag Module and checked most of the connections.

Cheers,
Taza

2000 model is inbetween OBDII and the old plugging of the connectors together under the drivers footwell. (my liberty has both)

try disconnecting the battery for afew minutes. (of course if theres a problem, the light will continue to illuminate)

I have tried the connectors under the dash, they only control the ECU and those codes. The Airbag module is completely seperate, I'm thinking there are more connectors somewhere that you connect to clear/check the A/B codes but I'm not sure where...

If I could check the codes for it, via making the Airbag light flash then I would be able to find where the problem is exactly. If there is even a problem..

That vid was wrong Alex, there is no plug like that.

Gannon I don't see any connector or loose terminal like that. Does your Outback have it, I have even removed the fuse box from the OB.
