Hello people.

Having recently installed an ej22 into my VW syncro I'm currently having problems.

Problem being lumpy and bumpy and spluttering in the low rev range. Once up to a certain revs it picks up well.

I've tried many things so far but I'm running out of ideas.

I'm about to change my O2 (lambda sensor) I've bought a Bosch universal one which was recommended to me as a good alternative to oem. And a lot cheaper.

Anyway my question is

On my wiring loom connector I have red black and white wires going into the connector terminal.

On the end of my new bosch sensor I have a black and 2 whites.

Would anyone know which goes to which?

And

I need to lengthen the wires to enable me to plug them together, do I need to use a certain grade of wire etc?

Any info greatly appreciated

Cheers

Anthony

Likely to help if you can ID the ECU in use, and/or what you got the donor bits from....first

So my question is

Which of the 3 wires
Red black and white is the live? Which I will connect to the live on my new sensor.
And what do I do with the other 2?

On the loom, red and black are the heater supply and the white is the signal.
On the sensor, the 2 whites are the heater supply, connect them to the black and red of the loom, not polarity sensitive, the black is the sensor wire, connect it to the white on the loom.

Sent from my new touchy phone thingy

Fixed

Gannon to the rescue again...goodonya mate

How much was the Bosch replacement? I may need to replace mine as I'm not getting the economy I should plus there's noticeable missing at ~2200rpm :(

G'day,
Im interested to look at more photos of it, i love the brackets and supports for the engine & muffler.
Would the timing belt cover cope ok with the muffler there or you have heat resistance?
Cheers
