I'm in the process of changing distributor cap, rotor and coil as i'm not sure of the age of them. Unfortunately living in a country town can be very frustrating (and costly)when dealing with auto shops. I usually buy online
Would anyone be able to give me the correct part numbers for Cap, rotor and Coil. I have electronic ignition if that helps. Any online shops would be a great help too.

Im assuming this is for an EA81 motor

Frog aka Andy would be the best bet for these part numbers.

if it is for EA81 should be no more than 25 bucks for Bosch stuff at parts shop for cap and rotor

Apart from when you are in the country nearly 2 hours from the most isolated capital city in the world.

If a part isn't in stock in Bunbury there is a 13 dollar courier charge on top of the part price. Which in my opinion is a crock as it always takes at least a week to get the part, and these couriered parts arrive on the delivery truck that the store stock comes on.

way easier to order online from another country, get it cheaper and in the same time frame (unless those parts get shipped to Austria by a US postal numpty)

Sorry boys, yes an EA81 it is. @ Toonga that's what the moron at the autoshop said $13.50 for a courier. Yeh right!
I get so agro when i go into those places when they say "Oh it's a brumby is it, this'll do" or "that wont be in stock"
I've got part no's GH609C and GD672 for Nippon Denso ( i thought they were Hitachi ) Dist Caps.
Maybe Frog might chime in on the chat.

if you have a Hitachi dizzy it will be GH, if it is ND it will be GD part number ....running out to get the parts book

are for Hitachi dist uh oh, champion reckon all Brumbys got EA82 from1981 to 1994 !!
JP630 cap,JR517 rotor,

ACA catalogue lists motor as EA18 with transformer coil C177, or oil filled C173
argh, back in a moment, lookin' under the bonnet - I write specs under it ...v

GH609 is the cap - think the C stands for blister packed and not in a box, the rotor is GH600 in my 84 Brumby, elect Hitachi dizzied EA81

Got a new Bosch coil 14 years ago, never used it, may still have box number on it - kept in a Brumby somewhere ....

Thanks Jules, you're a legend. Nothing worse than an ear infection. Don't stick anything in it. As they say the smallest thing you should stick in your ear is your elbow.

@ Jules, the coil is for EA82 Justy and Leonie. Will that be suitable for the Brumby?

Did an image search for the leone While it is primarily listed as the "L" the Leone is the "MY" sedan and wagon I have even seen a brumby with Leone badges.

If you are worried check out how many subarus this coil in the USA is used in oh and how many other makes of car use the same coil.

or you could even go to the gt40 I have seen them under many a subaru bonnet.

If it helps, i believe Subaru matched their coils carefully to their electronic modules with L's and MYs. I found a Motorcraft oil jobbie in an L with no engine so could not test it as such but figure almosty any coil will work, but for how long and what will it take out with it when it goes ?

I've seen a good one in the U.S $49, $8 delivery. says it's for Brat 79-87 points or electronic. No balast resistor, but that's only for points, am i correct?

As long as the coil is a resistor coil it will be fine if it isn't the ballast resistor bust be used.
