RX Turbo dash into L Wagon

Post by alx92 » Mon Mar 12, 2012 4:08 pm

Hey guys, i spent the morning fitting the insturment cluster from an rx into my L Series. i plugged in all the conections in the back of the instrument cluster in, then went through and losely connected all the wiring for the centre car outline bit, as the plugs in my car and the ones in the rx cluster are different. flicked on the ignition only to find that none of the lights or tacho etc would work  not a single indicator would indicate. i know theres nothing wrong with the insrument cluster itself, as al those bits were working before i pulled it out of the car, so im at a complete loss as to why none of itll work? are there any special tricks to fitting one of these to a standard L?

also, less important, but is there any particular way of wiring up the oil pressure and voltage guages too, seeing as itd be handy to have them working?

Cheers,

Alex

Engineered not to be easily plug and play swap, unfortunately. Also engineered not to go FIZZT on you for trying :)
