G'day all,
I'm after some "intimate" details of replacing the bearings and/or bushes in an EJ alternator.
Pics and an explanation would be awesome if possible.
Cheers

this is from the 1992 Liberty FSM Section 6.1 Engine Electrical System
https://www.rapidshare.com/files/152188 ... System.pdf
it has all the information needed to pull down, test and rebuild an alternator hitachi or mitsubushi
it even has the fabled distributor (with vacuum advance) that makes rocking horse doo doo look common
the rest is

I wouldn't waste money rebuilding an early round plug EJ alt.
pick up a square plug from a later mode. They bolt straight in, and dont need any rewiring apart from re-pinning a connector.
I went through 3 round plug alts in my car before finally fitting a gen2 TT alt. No issues since
