accessory wiring advice

hey guys,
basically i want to run ONE nice thick cable thru my outback to power all my accessories.
what i have down in the past (purely for stereo power) was run a 4gauge cable to a distribution block, then split that to power two amps. These are two very large amps equating to over 1600watts rms and ive had no issues with powering them.
my plan for the new car is similar, i wont be running such large amps. I was going to run 4guage down to a distribution block, then splitting that into two 8guage cables to run maybe two small amps under the front seats, then i was going to continue the 4gauge from the distrubution block into the boot area to hardwire my engel and run other accessories in the boot, like a small inverter or something.
are there any big issues in doing this? I understand stereo amplifiers use a varying amount of power depending on how hard youre pushing it/bass beats etc.
will this varying power influence the current my engel recieves for example in the boot? am i better running a seperate cable to run stuff in the boot?
curious as to what you guys can recommend.
thanks
alex
