Need a diagram to help me install a tacho to my L series. Where abouts is the Tacho signal wire and what colour is it. The intsruction i have arn't very good so any help would be great.

You want the terminal on the coil that is switched to earth by the electronic dizzy, not the terminal with constant 12V when the ignition is on. I seem to remember that yellow is the colour of the wire you want, but am not certain.

When we put ours in, we picked up all of the other needed connections from the back of the clock - earth, lights and ignition.

My DL didnt appear to have the wire - so we ran a new one

im not sure why or how this is going to help you, but when i had mine done (came in car when i bought it), the light on the tacho at night would go out when i put my high beams on...

yep they picked up the headlight wire. use the wiring off theclock and it wont have that problem.
