Always thought it was not worth buyng a conditioning battery charger - until each time I find a flat battery, expected or otherwise. Stupidly left a new battery connected ina dormant car and when come looking due to Brumby battery going on strike due to minus five C or whatever- it is dead flat too!

Who has one of the conditioner sulphate zapper chargers that you leave on all the time.Any recommendations, shops orr ebay ?

I use a ctek charger. I don't think you can get much better. You can just leave them connected and they will keep the battery in tip top condition. It came with a connector that is wired into the battery so all I do is plug it in without opening the bonnet.

They seem to be the standard in motorhomes and caravans to keep the battery charged.

I use a no name brand from China "Best buy" it is called it cost $19.95 from supa cheap and it has not skipped a beat.

In a pinch I once used a 3 volt nokia phone charger to trickle charge a battery. it worked but I would only do that in an emergency as it is a rather dangerous was to charge a battery.

Thanks for input. REPCO had a smarty on special about $80 that could do a sulphate shocker-offerer. Those ctek are well promoted by Repco too and although seem pricey have a good name. Saw their cheapest at about 72 bucks good for trickles but no sulphate function. Better just swap me batteries around a bit more.

Yes I have a CTek as well, can't remember the model but its max charge rate is 7 amps from memory .

Look in Battery World as well because Ripco stands for rip every poor count off .
Could also check out EBay or order direct from the US .
