ea82 computer question

Gday, just wondering if any one knows if all the 4 plug ecu's are the same?? have noticed when looking through wreckers that there are different numbers/letters on them. The one out of my car has a large green 'j' on it and the two at the wreckers either have 'v' or '22' in large green letters. As my computer is toast i need another one and was wondering if i could use one of these. Any help would be great. cheers

I'm not 100% sure but I'd try it, if the one at the wreckers was the same year as yours. I'd also make sure if was the same configuration as yours.. i.e. turbo, non turbo, 4 wire dizzy, etc..

Why do you think you need to change the ECU?
