Roof mounting a UHF in a Subi. Brumby

I would like to mount a UHF radio on the roof (just in front of the rear view mirror). Short of using double sided tape, any tips on a good way to mount it? Id like to keep it within the cab (ie no holes drilled through the roof to bolt on) if possible, however if I have to, im sure I could come up with a good way to cover it up?

Ok, sideline the UHF idea slightly, in keeping with the theme of roof mounting, if I was to make a console type thing (check out the bottom of http://www.consoles.com.au/console_designs.htm for a rough idea of what im on about) what would be a good way to mount it?

Thanks again;

You can do better than that! RSR 555 or was it the Subie Boys (?) made a small number of special Brumby roof consoles perfect for a UHF. If you're lucky one may still be available for purchase.

Do a forum search.

Just checked out that thread on the roof consoles, thank you both a heap! Good bits of gear, I will get onto that straight away.

Thanks, SSSM
