I was looking on ebay at thermo fans and it looks like theres some pretty good thermo fans for a pretty decent price was just wondering if anyone has got aftermarket thermo's and how much cooler do they make your engine run

It depends on the fans and how much air they claim to push or pull. I have an after market fan on my radiator as there is no room for the originals and it works fine, sorry no Idea of the brand.

With aftermarket fans you can get different sizes and they supposed to be better than stock depending on the type

A fan will only make the engine as cool as the thermostat will let it get it's when the engine is under load that it will make a difference

You will have to measure the radiator top to bottom and the distance from the radiator to the engine to make sure that they fit.

I'm seriously thinking of putting one under my bonnet scoop to blow through the top mount and possibly get rid of some turbo heat also when I'm slugging through the soft stuff, I should have enough room since I put the 30mm Outback spacers in the front X member.

Apparently it's a popular mod on the turbo's on the bigger Nissan etc 4X4 forums with cars getting a heap more hp because of the cooler inlet temps.
