Hey Suba-Dudes,
Just bought a 99gt forester and the roof mounted clock doesnt work. My parents also have a 99 forester and the clock in their car doesnt work either. Was wondering if it was standard that they didnt work? And if they do work does anybody have any idea what might be wrong with mine? Thanks for your thoughts.
Cheers,
Corax.

Corax,
open your clock and you will see few broken soldering points inside- often where a big resistor is connected to plate. Resold theese places.

i have the 99gt, got it 2 years ago, it was still working but gave up shortly after i got it,
i have since removed it and put a remote head uhf up there instead

my radio already has a clock anyway, so it wasnt that crucial for me,
i have pictures on my profile about the uhf install

Removed the clock the other day and when you shook it it made a rattling noise. Opened it up and a resistor? fell out. Simple matter of soldering it back in and re soldering a couple of other connections and the clock lives!
