PLEASE NOTE: This diagram does not show the Resister i suggest needs to be added to make this set up work problem free with all installs. From memory it was between pins 85 and 86 on one of the relays... maybe someone can help fill in that because i really can't remember... i have not had to touch my headlights since doing this. I would take a guess it was the high bean relay.

after reading all of this I got on the band wagon and went down to my local wrecker and bought 2 5x7 halogen lights with 3 working globes (55/60) for 20 dollars it was a plug and play operation sadly no photos as my camera is unhappy but Im really pleased to say that it is the best 20 dollars Ive spent in a long time

night driving is no longer a scary event

Hate to say it but as I said last time i bought some they were only $30 a pair brand new!

If only that were possible in Bunbury it seems because the mines are close that every body works in the mines and can afford to be hit with the your a miner so its gonna cost more theory.

just recently I priced a temp Gauge at a local parts chain here in sunny minerville "thats 65 dollars" "ok" I said "I will leave that for now" I went to the same auto parts chain in Perth (in Kelmscott actually) and the same temp gauge was 35.95 I never new that transportation costs over 160 KMs was so much. ( just under 30 dollar markup)

I cant imagine how much the lights would cost but I do know from ordering parts that a 13 dollar (minimum) courier fee applies to the part (and they never have these parts in stock for some reason)

so for me to get the parts in excellent condition for 20 dollars is a win in my books

Wow fair enough, I buy a fair amount of my stuff from sydney cause its cheaper and easier to get but that takes the cake! As an example A 20 foot shipping container in canberra was about 3 grand plus 100klm delivery charge or from sydney a 40 foot one for half the price including delivery!

just a note about this post.

im got pulled over at an RBT the other day and had to pull one right out of my arse about the lights on my car so i didnt get a yellow sticker.
basically the IDIOT(!!!) said my car was illegal due to modifications to my lights.
problem being, my lights are totally standard........

so i told him id put HID in, then got told if i dare i would have my vehicle impounded and crushed for anti hoon laws or some crap.

im not sure why im saying this as this cop was an idiot and i would have loved to taken him to court for this but im too lazy atm. just watch out.

I have a 90 Brumby with the quad headlights.
Do you know a possible doner car that can replace the low beam headlights with a H4 low/high beam setup?
FYI I want to get rid of the highbeams and insert spotties in their spot

Any cars that have 4"x6" headlamps. I used a set from a (dare I say it.. ) Mitsubishi Delica/L300 van. I got given them, so I didn't complain.

Just be careful with the ebay ones.. here's a pic of mine after 6 months

Thanks. I wanted to fit the driving lights somewhere that no oxygen thief would try and steel them, they work great on the beach. The indicators were a little more trouble but they worked out in the end.
