Where's that fuse?

Hey guys,
So, I'm trying to disconnect my Fuel Pump in my Impreza GX. I've tried looking for the fuel pump itself, and I can't seem to get to it, and not having the correct manual does not help. So I figured I would go for the fuse. There doesn't seem to be a fuse for the fuel pump.
Does anyone know if it comes under something else in the fuses or how to get to my fuel pump. I have a look and can't get to it from the boot, and the tank seems more under my backseat to footwell,
Cheers

The pump is inside the tank
The fuse might be in the fuse box in the engine bay.
You could disconnect the fuel pump relay, its under the steering column, i think it might be a green connector.
What year model is your Impreza?

MInes the newer 05 model.
It's not in the fuse box in the engine bay or the fuse box on the left side of the steering Colum, Already checked those two. the workshop manual I keep being suggested to use is for the 06. However, it suggests disconnecting the wires at the fuel pump. So I don't want to get to the fuel pump, except for that bit. I'm assuming the same way I would replace the fuel pump is the same place I could get to the wires. but can't find that place.

Try under the rear drivers side seat, there is an access panel there on by outback, not sure if it would be the same on an impreza.
Just unbolt the panel for access and you should be able to unplug the pump.

Why do you want to disconnect the fuel pump?

I want to change the fuel Filter without getting covered in Fuel. I've always done it by disconnecting the fuse and cranking it. In the manual I have, it suggests disconnecting it at the fuel pump. Now, seeing as there is no fuse,I guess I'll have to do that.

The fuel pump relay appears to be near the blower motor in the passenger side footwell
Unplug it and start the engine as described
