Reseting immobilser

Post by ScubyRoo » Sat May 29, 2010 3:58 pm

JDM 1996 outback, won't start since battery was swapped. I'm guessing the alarm/immobiliser system has crack the shits - how do I reset it? Battery in remote has never worked but system disarmed when do was unlocked with spare key (no remote) - not any more since the car battery was swapped. Never had to worry about these alarm things, what kinda POS alarm system is not isolated from the battery? Grrr....

Help please!

Hmmm thanks for the idea but no luck. I did however manage to find the brandname and model, so I've emailed the company (Dyamco) asking them what to do as when I bought the car through the auction house no over ride code was supplied... looks like i'll be waiting until Monday.

I wonder how/if it is possible to bypass the battery so that when its disconnected I don't have to over ride the immobiliser everytime - a pain in the arse when installing extra electics!
