Hi all,

I have an int wiper switch setup (from a sedan) ready to go into my Brumby. How easy is it to install this switch, and what is involved?

I am wondering whether I should do it myself or get somebody to put it in.

Thanks in advance.

Gees, if you got time search under me and electrical, think it was degenearte or gtcompletepower knows how this is done, said to be a blue connector behind the parts binnacle below vent to 'just' hok up and with correct switch. I have same job to do....

you will also need the wiper relay located under the dash in the sedan, should just plug straight into the brumby wiring.

To fit the switch you'll need to remove the dash facia - carefully. Swap the switches out and the desired switch will fit in its place. Re-install the facia.

Bit more detail for you - yes, you need the wiper `can' as preno referenced. When I fitted to my Brumby (89 model) under the dash (take off the plastic panel that runs under the steering wheel, it has about 3-4 screws holding it and a plastic tab at the back (towards front of vehicle), there was a PINK plastic plug of about 6 terminals of which only 2 were wired (as a loop). Remove this pink plug and insert the wiper `can' into the mating plug. To remove the switch, pull the existing switch cover HARD away from the steering column. Undo the nut with a shifter, and you should be able to pull the existing plug out from underneath. Switch in your ex-sedan switch, push back into place, re-tighten nut, and then press the new switch cover firmly onto the switch shaft.
Test the wiper switch by turning ignition to ACC (quite possible your wiper `can' is faulty), if ok re-attach underdash cover and you're done.
