Hey Suba-Dudes,

Have got a brumby or two with the 4 headlight setup and was wondering what would be the best H4 globe to replace the standard globes with? Been Looking around and most suppliers are happy to talk kelvin (light temp) but very few want to talk about lumen (actual illumination?). Don't really want to go to HID cause I put up a post about them before and basically got talked out of it. Have been looking at the Narva blue power (3750k, 2000L) but was wondering if there was anything better.Any Thoughts? All opinions gratefully recieved.

I just put the Narva conversion kit in and there is a masive difference. The standard globes are fine and are much whiter than the old beer goggles. I went for the 55W in low beams and 130W in high beams. Nice and straight forward and there is no rice issues with the looks.

They are a standard size I bought brand new ones for $30 so any 4x4 shop parts retailer or auto electricians should have them, I managed to get some cibie ones (If anyone can still find these please PM me) and at first ran 135/90 but spent a lot of time parked with lights on so went back to 60/55 so I didn't cook the reflectors. just remember if you drive through fog or dust blue or bright white light is not your friend.

Seem to recall Brumby is the same as Landcruiser as well

Have seen the Navara upgrade firsthand which is impressive too.

Other aspect is upgrade the wiring - off the alt is a good idea

got my non sealed beams out of a sigma, think i paid $12 for 4 lenses. then new bulbs, relays running new wire direct from the battery. 100% improvement.

Good work, I love those cheap fixes that feel like they're worth more.

This is one of those wiring upgrades that I just haven't got around to yet... Might have to get my A into gear and do it from the feedback here!
