remote cenral locking for 93 Liberty

Post by rosglo » Wed Dec 23, 2009 1:49 pm

Hello Folks,
The immobiliser I have fitted to my 93 Liberty GX wagon has the option of using the remotes to operate the central locking. I know I can pick up the wiring from the driver's door but it would be much easierif the the right wires were available somewhere under the dashboard. I know that on other brands, they usually are.
Any one done this?
Many thanks,
Ross.

Welcome to AUSubaru, Yes you can install aftermarket kit in your liberty, genuine ones arent that good as after market ones..
All you need is to find the wiring diagram.
Cheers

the wiring diagram for a 1992 liberty is downloadable on this page

showthread.php?t=7011

or here

http://subaru.ath.cx/1992%20FSM/AUS/

as is the rest of the manual

as I understand it the wiring is the same up to 95 so you should be able to find what you need there

If the wiring you need is in the door, you will be able to find all the wires where the door cord comes into the body, so for the drivers door, it will be behind the kick panel thats closest to the accelerator pedal

Thanks Folks,
I have downloaded the wiring diagram from the link supplied by Toonga. It looks like all the detail I need is there. There is a plug/socket for the factory remote locking system under the dash. I won't get a chance to play with it until after Xmas but will report back on my efforts.
Thanks for all the responses.
Merry Xmas,
Ross
