A friend of mine here has be doing much of my automotive wiring for some years and probably under sufferance more today .

I really hate those mid eighties injector etc plugs because the #### clips are a pain and easily lost . Also their plugs are fragile and easily broken .
The Bosch style "minitimer" rectangular plugs with the one finger release clips are much easier to use and require no tools .
I wanted to do it on the cheap with 2nd had plugs from a V6 Commode but the wires were cooked so not usable . My friend ended up removing their terminals and painstakingly changing them over onto the factory injector plug wires and clipping them back into their AMP plug bodies .
So the four injector plugs are fairly easy to unclip and can be done one handed .

I also wanted the TPS plug changed to the same style of thing , three wire one this time , and with a bit of grief and using the technically incorrect method the wires were spliced and shrink wrapped to make waterproof .

The lesson here is that it's always best to buy new plug kits and simply crimp the terminals on with the correct tools . Must make sure things are sealed against water/dirt/dust/oil etc .

There are Australian Fuel Injection (AFI) outlets around Sydney and they sell all sorts of automotive electricals to the public .

Cheers A .
