EJ22 oxygen sensor Q

Post by GOD » Thu Aug 20, 2009 5:31 pm

Quick question: do I need a genuine replacement oxygen sensor, or will an aftermarket one (probably Champion, maybe Bosch) do? Pretty sure it's a three wire job, and it's going into an EJ18 header pipe.

Yeah its 3 wire, 2 black and 1 white... Waste of money getting from Subaru, its same brand as after market Bosch (Subaru uses Bosch)
I have Bosch after market one in mine, after market will do the job and mine costed me $78.

Another question: The Champion sensor I bought has a different plug to the Bosch one that was in the car. Both have two white wires and one black. Is there any way to tell which white wire is which if I cut the old plug off to put on the new sensor?

The 2 white ones should still be the heater wires and the odd colour, the black, is the sensor
