home made indicator lights??

ok so probably not exactly legal but i need a driverside front indicator and yeah i dont want to pay the exuberant price they want so i was wondering how to make a light??
has this been done??
im thinking LED but normal globe will do i guess

thanks in advance (mainly for not thinking im a loony)

Is it the light thats blown or is it the reflective surface thats broken.

If its the reflective surface its near impossible to make something to replace that.

Also - LEDs unless you plan on using heaps of them dont even bother because they are not as bright as a normal light (yet).

What indicator do you need,L series or liberty and what side? i may have a cheap one for you.

shonk it up with coloured cellophane paper and sticky tape till something comes up

We have a product at work that is relacement for a normal bulb but it has LEDS on it instead. Perhaps it'd be worth chasing this up?

in the end we brought a full new car
indicators and all
been wrecked a few times, 2 different indicators to start with.
im liking the idea of leds with a clear acrylic cover

btw it was the whole lot that brok, was smashed in an accident

Your respective calls but I think all turn indicators should be ORANGE because in the daytime the white ones can be very difficult to see .
Its also the reason why I keep spare early L Series front quarter lights because the indicator lenses are all orange - not just the raised bit .
