EA82T saudi version spark plugs

Post by steptoe » Sun May 10, 2009 11:42 pm

are listed as being one range colder in the 86 87 model FWSM.
This is the 136HP 196Nm engine as oposed to the 113HP 182Nm Oz version
Just another difference spotted but not previously discussed?

My 87 WSM shows the Aust MPFI-T as using the BP6ES-11 which is a wide gap plug .
It shows the "other" spec as using a BP7ES which I though was a std gap plug with a higher heat range .

These are NGK brand and it also shows ND and Hitachi as well .

What heat range numbers does your WSM show .

same, with the other option being the resistor plug

think you got tricked, NGK number goes up as they get colder, Bosch goes the other....

Fair enough , I've never had a reason to use non std heat range plugs because they always worked fine for me .
If they went hotter as in more center electrode/insulator exposed they must have been getting deposits on them that were not burning off .

Sorry I tell a lie , my first Mini had oil ring problems in one pot and I had a Champion N12Y in place of the usual N9Ys to keep the oil from fouling it and making it miss on that pot .
