If it's the brumby in your avatar you may need to buy some semi sealed beam lights and use H4 xenon kits.

They are the same as Hilux headlights then. IPF ones work well.

it has a funny 3 pin plug on the back if that helps and do i have to change my hole light setup or can i get a kit to suit and what are these types of globes called

They are usually sealed beam. If there is nowhere to change the globe, then that will be case and you will need to head out and get some semi sealed beam lamps, and a H4 bi-xenon HID kit if you want both high and low to be HID.

Mooney, go to a 4x4 wreaker, and buy some semi sealed lights from an 80series cruiser - should fit. Finally a good use for a Toyota:-D

What about also wiring in some new relays and wiring to the lights? Its pretty simple to do and the improvement in the standard lighting is great from those who have done it.
Cheers
