help with ej20tt wiring/diagram
I have searched for 6 months, bought a repair manual on ebay-UK and still I cannot find a diagram for a ej20tt 93-96. I have installed one in a convertable VW Bug with an oversize intercooler, built a custom shallow oil pan and tube exhaust and mandrel bent cooling tubes to front with all the air to the custom aluminum radiater being ducted in and out. There is no external evidence that it has a Subaru engine and the rear decklid even shuts. BUT, i cant finish because I cant wire it!!!!!!! I hear jzk25 is a wiring guru. Please help!!!!!! By the way, the problem is that we dont have twin turbo legacy's or liberty's on this side of the pond (rhd cars only).

ej20tt wiring diagram
Chris, thanks for the response. I tried those links and no luck---- well some. Is it possible to just post the ECU pinout and maybe engine diagram only? Or, maybe the canadian websiite address? Thanks again for your help.
Chris, you can post files up to 50Mb at http://www.mytempdir.com/ .but have nowhere big enough to host it.
If it's bigger than that, just chop it up with something like http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/ and post the chunks.

That isn't the right one Chris, that is for an MY99 TT. There is also MY97/98(two different ecus auto and manual) between that and the one that cogwheel wants.
Chris, if your ecu has a seperate transmission control then it is the same as the one cogwheel wants. MY97/8 auto has a PCM that looks like a Nissan ECU and MY97/8 manual has a 3 plug ecu.

What I need is the diagram and/or pinout for the 93-96 Ej20tt. It has a 4 plug ecu and a seperate trans controller that has plugs similar (but not the same as) the two main engine to harness plugs. All of the diagrams I have been able to find are either the later tt model or the single turbo model. Please help!!!!
Al, I tried to email you about the wiring diagram. Did you get my email? Let me know on the diagram asap. My ECU's a AB391 and AB393. A list I found on the web says the one is to a BD% RS type A and the other to a BG5 GT a type whatever that means. The 3rd ECU I have is a AC562 which is to either a BD5 RS b type or a BG5 GT-B b type both with manual trans. Thanks, Russ
