Wiring for ea81 Alternator

Post by midlifecrisis » Mon Oct 16, 2006 3:37 am

Hi Peoples

I am starting to put the subie motor into my buggy, so I have a question about the alternator wiring.

First I know that the screw fitting is to the battery.
I know that one of the wires on the twin plug is the charge light but which one and where does the other one go?

On the sticker on the Alt it as a S and a W for the twin plug .

thanks for you help

Marc

going by the Brumby wiring diagram white with red trace goes to fuse box

one whole white wire goes to battery + terminal, and same for the other whole white wire ? which one goes to alt light on dash then ?

sorry if no help !

Hi

This is my BAJA it is a road regoed car so all lights work.
the main thing I was looking for is on the subie alternator there is 2 push on plugs
on the side of the alternaor there is a sticker naming the plugs one is called "s" and the other is called 'W" I want to know which one is for the charge light and where does the other one go?
the book i have on the engine is not to clear has to where these wires go.

thanks

Marc

hi
well today we put the subie motor in and had it running for a very short time as we have not fitted the radiator yet YAHOO!!!!!!!.
So next weekend we will be working on the engine cage modifying it so we can fit the radiator and the exhust. we are hoping to have it all done in the next three weeks.
