fuel pump wiring

i'll be using the fuel pump already in the tourer when i fit the ej.the question is i've got a short bit of wire on the fuel pump relay for the ej and i've heard the ea fuel pump wire is sheilded .How do i wire it up/connect?

Is the short bit you have the black with red trace? If so then you simply connect it to the main wire for the fuel pump. Black with white trace I think it is. Have a good look though as there is two wires of the same colour coming from the back.

or just leave the tourer wire unconnected and run a new wire from the Bl/red to the pump.

With the EJ you can get away with just having the one power wire going to the pump and run the Earth of the pump to the body however you will get a better result running it to the battery.
