Central locking

Hello can any one help me i have a Subaru Liberty gen 2 1998. it has a key with on button on it. the car has central locking when the keys locks the doors all lock but if you push the button nothing happens. Ive replaced the batt nothing. i have now replaced the key is there a way to code the remote to the central locking?

Ive been told you can do it under the drivers kick panel? Any one herd of this?

Also i need a wiring diagram of the central locking system does any one have one or know a link
