I'm thinking your Brumby has A/C and that's what they are for :)

yes well the relays do have something to do with the a\c. but now the relay the one closest to the right of the three has broken and i had to buy a new relay and i cannot work out what all four wires are for. i have worked out which one is the power and switched power but the other two (one red with white trace the other red with black trace) i am not sure which is the accessory and which is the earth any one know which is which?:)

If the a/c looks like a factory fitted unit then I'd look at a wiring diagram from a WSM and go from there :)
