00' Forester Lo range switch for dash light

Post by mdayment » Wed Jul 22, 2009 9:37 pm

The "Lo" light on the dash of my forester doesn't come on when low range is engaged. Just wondering if anyone knows where the switch for the light is?

Its a pain when someone borrows your car and says its revving at 4500rpm when they are doing 100km... not knowing about low range:D

Don't know specifically for Foresters, but in many older models it was a microswitch located under the low range shifter in the centre console. If it's in the gearbox, good luck with that...

The dual range EJ transmission, the switch is located on the top of the gearbox near bellhousing just next to the low range selector section..
