who put the lights ON?

Post by Dougie » Mon Mar 16, 2009 6:43 am

G'day all, Can anyone give me advise on this problem which has started with my legacy, The side light came on and stayed on while i was out walking my dog , They are swicthed off but on, all the lights swicth off when the ignition is swicthed off and the keys removed, but they are all on, the only way i can get the side lights off is to disconnect the battery, which i have done to ensure my car will start in the morning to get to work, im thinking that the switch may be faulty, but im no auto sparky, Any ideas anyone, cheers in advance; )

Sounds like you have bumped the switch on top of the steering column, it is an overide switch so you can use the parkers while the ignition is off.

heheh..... very common problem for new subaru owners because normally other cars except subarus has hazard flashes on the top of steering column!!

Funny that, its a switch that you'll never use/hardly use - i forget that I have mine there and never use it!!
Cheers
