Hi i am new to this forum and i need some help with my car. Since my car is an AWD it has a split axle at the front of the car and on the drivers side on the end at the Transmission it has been Weeping Transmission oil, so today my dad and i finally got around to taking it apart (we have a manual for the car) we have done everything it has asked and cant find the seal!!! Here are some photos.
The rubber Boot seems to be intact so that wasn't leaking. Here are the pics
Can some one who has had experience with this car tell me where abouts the rubber seal is?
Thanks for being patient and for all your help!!!
(sorry if i got some details wrong)

The rubber seal is behind the cup - it says "NOR" in last photo if you can see it - thats the rubber seal, you will need to remove the cup cover off and count how many turns before you remove it - its a hard job to remove the cap because its very tight fit and really you're suppose to use special tool for that... CBC sells these rubber seals if you take it to them.

Standard thread. use a punch on some of the notches and a Hammer to tap it round.
dont forget about the Locking Tab they have held in by a 12 or 14 mm bolt IIRC

There is a toothed locking tab it is shown in the photo there is a 14mm bolt attached to it, you need to remove the bolt first before you can remove the locking tab.

That's the one, the little plate there will come off with it. Mark where the cap is now with a line, then count the number of turns, make sure you keep a marked tally on a piece of paper or with chalk on the gearbox. I forgot how many turns I did getting it off, so I tried to get it right by "feel". Pretty sure I havn't but its still going without any problems after two years and 80,000km...
Good luck with it.

I agree have a look in the female end of the cv there will be grease in there but there shouldn't be but you do have a weeping seal

Well i have finally gotten around to doing it, The thing that looks like a sprocket went around 4 times and 3 teeth. I will have to wait until monday to get a replacement bung and seal, then i will get it back together ASAP. Also when i took out the split pin on the drive shaft Do i need to buy a new one or jsut put the old one back in their?

You can get a new one if you want. Being a poor uni student (but still somehow manage to have some fun at times) I use the old split pin without any dramas yet - they've been taken out twice since I've had the car for the past 3 years - no movement yet...
