Hi all i am in the process of rebuilding an ej22 out of a series 1 liberty to fit into my brumby. now i have a quote for a rebuild kit from partsrus.com.au for $600 plus freight, the kit includes Pistons, Rings, Main and Big end bearings, a full engine gasket kit and head bolts.
Does any one think this is a bad price? Can any one sugest a better kit? I believe it is an acl kit.
Thanks,
Ian

Try Cheapa Auto Spares(on ingham road just past Hugh street), they should be able to match the price.

Hey toby.

I'm currently rebuilding a N/A MPFI EA82 slowly. I have new rings and bearings and a new gasket kit, i also got the heads shaved. All up i've spent about 700 bucks (can't quite remember the price of the Bearings and rings).

Gasket set (i think i got ripped here according to the posts above) was 360 -> 600 for a genuine kit
Heads shaved 60 each
And i think a new set of standard bearings and rings were about 200 the lot. I'll try an remember to look it up when i get home.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

All help is appreciated.

Thanks Bennie, all help appreciated mate. My old Subie will need it eventually so I will get some gaskets and belts in readiness for the time. Bearings and rings will need to wait till I can measure everything I guess.
Thanks again for your help, Toby
