is it possible to install a pod filter on a carbi EA82 if so how do i do it

do you mean ea 82 or ej22?...eather way it is possible but if you off road be aware that pods and water dont mix....water can be drawn into your intake

He said carby, so I'd guess at EA82.

Yes it can be done, there's absolutely no point in doing so though. No gain to be made, only problems that can arise...

Yes it is possible but not easy, the bonnet is very low to the carby.

You'd be better off spending the money on a replacement K&N Filter.
Monster Subaru sold to a good home!! Still a Subaru owner. Will try stay in the Ausubaru loop. Sorry :cool:

You can get a Ramflo filter (the ones that look like bug eyes) that will fit. Don't know a part number sorry.

I have a pod on an lifted l series ea 82 carby. With the lift it fits ok.
I didnt have time to mod my air box when i put a weber on so i just used a peice of 90mm stormwater pipe and a couple of fittings with the pod filter. It works ok for a temporary thing. I love the sound it makes now so i havent rushed to change it.

i did make an adaptor once...stinky saw it....it fitted a non lifted L series but took me almost a week to sort it out....it worked great...i think there may be some pics around..i,ll see if i can find them....stinky mate would you have any?

Clearwater a guy on this forum pulled his normal airfilter elenent out and adapted a pod to his inlet of the aircleaner, and it looks pretty good and works too as well as being legal
