Is the outside physical size of a Lib box the same as an L box?
Also is the length the same... will a L or MY tail shaft physically slide into it.
Gota make some fast decisions weather to get one or not.

Liberty box is several inches longer. That's why I needed a custom shortened tailshaft, and shortened selector linkages in my L series.
Hatch would also most likely need the rear end of the tunnel cut out abit to make one fit.
I guess it would be worth it if your aim is to massively improve the on-road handling, but you loose the advantage of the centre lock only the L-series gearbox can offer for offroad.
I think what you need to do is get one of those rare AWD L series gearboxes like Jaffa did recently. AWD for onroad, vacuum operated centre lock for offroad. Best of both worlds. And better yet, it will fit straight into Hatch in place of your existing one!
Just gotta find one now

Thanks..
Or i can steal Jaffas. I have done enough engine and gear box swaps to make me pretty fast at it.
