EJ20 oil pump service??

Post by Porty » Wed Apr 09, 2014 7:55 pm

Does anyone know of or has serviced or replaced the oil pump on a 98 model EJ20? Also has anyone done the injectors on them? Service exchange/replaced or cleaned?

Oil pumps are pretty cheap and usually changed at 100,000 services along with timing belt and pulley kit, just get the injectors sonically cleaned, they are pretty easy to get out

I've never replaced or serviced an oil pump other than one that was leaking - and it turned out the internal O ring between the pump and the block needed replacing anyway.

In that instance it is worth pulling the pump off to replace this O ring. I didn't do any more than that as I didn't see it as necessary.

Cheers
