L series oil filter

Post by Cliff R » Sun Dec 04, 2011 4:23 pm

Help - what oil filter are people using on the EA82 engine.
Ryco/REPCO part number I dont mind.
I thought I bought a filter but it may be for the EA81 engine instead.

Thanks for the info.
I was having a small brain snap.
Now I have the MY and the L series (sorry, I have never had 2 cars at the same time. Dont get me started on what the wife thinks about this !!) I was a bit confused.
What, with the MY, the L series and my wifes Kia I have oil filters everywhere.
I found in the pile of parts the Z493 so all is good.

thank Fuji (rather some other fast thinking body) that the combo of Z79A and some other number has been superceded by the Z493 for old MY and L - just one new number fits both. It was a little harder in earlier days as some would fit the EA81 and other number would not ??

I think the first EJs were Z495
