L series - dud heater - Can I yank permanently?
Like a lot of L series, the hoses have been cut off at the engine bay presumably because it started heating. If I don't want it, and wanna cut down on weight, can I just remove the whole heater unit completely....or is something else dependant on it?

Yes, you can remove it completely from the system but recommend you leave a loop hose on the heater hose pipes off the engine, thus will allow flow without issues. As for weight by removing it, you wont save that much and the trouble to remove the dash to get to it, won't be worth it.
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

That ^ and if you remove the heater core you'll leave a gaping hole in the heater box. If you remove the heater box you won't have any air ducting to control air flow in the cab other than winding the window down.RSR 555 wrote:Yes, you can remove it completely from the system but recommend you leave a loop hose on the heater hose pipes off the engine, thus will allow flow without issues. If you're going to pull the dash you might as well replace the dud heater core. Pulling it to reduce weight is pretty much a waste of energy on your part, it doesn't weigh much!
