2 nylon bits in EJ Foz box, what is the odd one?

The most recognisable nylon part in a Subie box is the speedo drive cog, there is one other component, in the rear of the middle section , up high to one side, held in place with M6 bolt and has a spout on it.

This bit looks to be an oil dropper for some components.

I scored a broken Foz box DR to pull apart - so easy compared to MY and L boxes - even though I got covered in an aqua blue water soluble? lubricant :(

This little box had some fiddle done to its end housing section. Mechanic told me he had to spacer something to make it fit. Turns out he ground the rear end of the shaft that ends in the last section with a bearing.
The nylon dripper thing has been near worn through by contact with another part of the boxes bits - looks like it got caught somewhere it ought not, gave some service life before growling, and back for replacement.

I cleaned out four tips of what look like were gear teeth.

I also expected to see a viscous coupling inside....no ?? found the centre diff in the back section though

did ya'all see the groove just above the dropper, and matching groove - both worn into them - in the alloy housing?

Lesson one in how not to put an EJ AWD DR back together for long life!
