Yeah why not just use an EZ30 or EG33 - bolt straight in.
And I think the Porsche motor spins the wrong way so you would have 1 forward and 5 reverse gears ??

Would probably be slower than my virtually stock Liberty 2L STI unless you spent a fortune on one of the Turbo 6's, pretty sure the Porker's are a bit lighter than a Lib too, absolute PITA.

Quick search on the interwebs...
A lot of info on Subaru engines -> older Porsches.
One thread on MRT questioning why on god's earth would you bother!

When you have such awesome subie engines that bolt straight in why oh why would you create such an abortion.
Unless you actually enjoy headaches....

There was an old 912 (4cyl 911) in Perth with a WRX motor in it years ago, total bucket of snot and only ever saw it once on a WRX cruise, hopefully it died a fast death because it never made it to the second meet point.

He probably got laughed at so much he was too ashamed to come back lol.
Or perhaps it was put out of its misery & buried in the desert "gangsta" style
Have you ever noticed most Porsche owners are white-haired older blokes trying desperately to recapture their youth? lol
Bet you can guess i'm not a fan of Porsches lol. Sooo over-rated!

I got so pissed off with him, he was holding up about 8 pussys on a narrow but very straight country road so the g/f at the time said let's just pass them........we hit the 180 speed limiter as we went by & he said he crapped his pants when we went past after he caught up at a servo about 10min later haha.
