Upper Engine Cleaner

Post by RX Coupe » Tue Aug 02, 2011 9:44 am

Hi all,

Just got two cans of Subaru's upper engine cleaner and was wondering how to use it on the carby engine in the Brumby. Also which vacuum line do you remove on an EJ25 (02 Outback)?

Cheers,
Justin

No idea about the carby.
But on the N/A EJ's, it's better to take off the air intake and air cleaner parts and spray directly into the throttle body.

On the carbie you just spray it down the guts. Straight in the top. I also sprayed a bit down each spark plug whole coz thats what i got told :)

strait down the throttle body for the ej25. Make sure you do it in an open area too haha.

Don't do it in a very public area or just before you're about to work the engine really hard - such as near a camping area before you hit up some sand tracks! Not me, no names mentioned but it was a member on here :D
