G'day all
I'm keen to know what the correct re-ground cam run-in procedure is.
Do I have to get the followers re-faced/lightly ground as well?
Is there a specific oil I need to run for a set time?
Or do I drop the cam in and off I go without a second thought??
Cheers

Bennie, a good coating of some Moly based spay lube like Molybond never goes astray when applied liberally to the lobes. it wont hurt to have the followers refaced, but can depend on their condition as well.

Thanks mate - sounds like a pretty straight forward procedure then

A reground cam MUST have the followers radius ground by the cam grinder.
Used followers on a new cam lobe is asking for failure.
Use a "cam lube".
Run the engine at 2000-2500 rpm for 20 minutes, instructions should come from the cam grinder.
Pushrods should be rotating with the engine running.

Bennie is up to something ... but what
Im thinking a rebuilt EA81 in Sunny with a mad cam and a weber
or he is going to modify the skilift at the resort to get him back up the hill quicker
