hi
im new to this forums and ive been having a problem with my subaru
deatils of my car:
subaru liberty ej22 (2.2ltr) 4WD/AWD rallye
i just got a new clutch kit (oem replacement) on my car including flywheel machining as the old one was slipping so i took it to the mechanics to get it replaced now the lo range light is always on even if the gear stick (for the dual range) is down where its supposed to be high when i pull the lever up it the car doesnt go at all does this need ajdusting or is somthing wrong
the problem is like it wont go into normal/high range but i really dont know wich one its in all though the car feels more jumpy when i release the clutch but maybe that could be because the clutch is new and is gripping better but there is somthing defantly wrong with that
some help would be greatly appriecated

take it back to the mechanic and explain the problems, even if you have to get him in the car and demonstrate them for him.

Sounds like the low range cable is swinging in the air while still in low range.

Top speed in 5th of about 90km/h or there abouts?

Ypur mechanic must have forgot to do something. Maybe what elfreddo said.

ever since my car became a victim of flood leaving my subaru half submerge in the water my car already feels jumpy whenever i am shifting gears and releasing the clutch. until now i am just ignoring it.lol am i in trouble? looks like i need to visit my mechanic again. i just got replacement subaru parts from this site.

I hope you flushed the box & diff before putting new oil in them.......you did put new oil in them I hope!!!

It could be that the spigot bearing is seizing up or not operating smoothly as a bearing should.
