Length of synchro tabs in L-series low range?

A rather specific question for you folks:

I need to know the length of the tabs that sit inside the gear hub on the l-series low range.

So if you have a P/T 4wd L series box currently in pieces, you should see a gold synchro ring, then a hub surrounded by the selector ring, then another synchro. Underneath the selector ring are 3 small tabs that move and held in place by a retainer ring.

I need to know the length of these as I have two different sizes sitting on my work bench :???: and I don't want to rebuild with the wrong size.

Cheers,
Owen.

Sorry mate, I don't have any L ones on my bench - they're all in gearboxes!

Let us know which ones you end up using - I'm figuring I'll have to use the same that you do when I finally get around to my gearbox build! Pics would be good!

Cheers

They should be the same length as the inner hub that you are using. You should be able to see which ones fit the best. Remember to align them up with the syncros to make sure they are all correct.

Thanks Paul, that answers it enough (the larger ones) - cheers!
