Ok guys I was able to finally recover my hard drive on Tuesday. All my hard work is saved!!!!!!

I am busy getting ready for a camping trip soon and work has been quite busy but I will get on working on the project when I get the chance in the next few weeks. Oh and yes I have a backup copy now along with all my photos and other stuff. Also when I will post up a rendered version as abit of a teaser soon

don't suppose you have a driver board for a 200 gig seagate barracuda that just stopped powering up :)

and good to hear you recovered it all now make 2 backups of it one to a dvd disc the other a portable drive

Dont ya hate all the problems with computers. Im sure its a conspiracy to make us keep buying new ones!

How bout a limited slip diff? Im guessing not as good as a locker but would be heaps better than a single spinner & im sure not hard to find

Every WRX has a viscous LSD, they are a lot better than nothing but will still easily spin one wheel.

Alright guys I am still slowly working on it. I will be posting up pictures in the next couple of days with a rendered version to show you all

Only issue is that the locker itself isn't handling the stress tests. It needs some improvement and more strength.

But you can't lock it when you want. You have to have it either locked or unlocked permentaly.

Well quite a few hickups. Im kinda back to the drawing board but have been discussing with ElFreddo about some ideas.

If anyone has ever heard of Phantom Grip LSD.... Well im looking at that but am trying to modify it so instead of being an auto locker by using springs be a manual locker that can be engauged and disengauged when you want. This way it wouldn't be a death machine like having an auto locker in a Subie AWD daily driver.

Taza

Its just an idea though.

Perhaps Taza needs to look at the centre diff locking mechanisim that the vortex boxes came with?

Image

yes yes yes I know it isn't a rear diff :) it may give him another path to follow

Thanks TOONGA, that's really helpful. I should try and make a centre diff lock. I'm not currently sure how the centre diff works in our AWD Subies.

With the rear locker I have completed my design and am pretty much ready to get one made. It's just $$$ and time now to do so, then the testing can being :D

Bugger "testing" - I'll take three, one for me, one for venom and one for Dulagarl. We'll let you know how they go

Seriously though, I can't shell out for three at the moment :(

Cheers
