Yes they will fit but 99% chance you'll have to change your wheels to clear the front 4 pots.
97 - 01 STI & 00 - 07 WRX are all pretty much identical front brakes MY00> are 2pot rears & require a bit of messing around, earlier STI's had vented 1pot rears which fit straight on & work fine.

I Currently have the stock alloys on it. So wouldn't be surprised if I need to swap rims.

I'm looking at the 00 - 07 WRX, Performance wise and price wise which would be a better choice Them or the early STI?

I've got to replace all 4 sets of brakes and also get the discs machined, but I figured I might go all out and upgrade them if i can.

MY00 WRX alloys are the lightest alloys subaru ever made.

but early STI rims will be the cheapest.

All 4pots are the same from 97 - 07, just the rears differ, I'd avoid Brembo's unless you want to spend a fortune, you could get away with just changing the fronts as the rears are virtually the same as all pre MY00 WRX's ran and will stop you fine unless you intend to do a lot of track days as the front's do most of the work.
You should be able to pick up a good set of fronts with good discs & pads for under $600.

personally I wouldn't spend all that money on a set of WRX brake calipers for a GX (but it's your money) IMO, I would just buy a set of DBA slotted rotors and a set of high grade pads and you'll have great stopping power and a rectum that hasn't been stabbed

I have started looking into just get a set of slotted rotors and Titanium Stip rotors. A quick and easy solution to get wouild be good as my brakes are fairly shot now. The brakes are stock and have been on there way before I bought the car over a year ago. So it's definitely the time to get them done. I'm really just looking for a really good alternative.
