head gasket thickness for EJ motors

As I can't find information in the factory FSM on head gasket thickness,
I have been looking at head gasket kits over the last few days with some interesting results. I have found that they range from .21 mm steel multi layer to 1.61 mm fibre gasket (you could probably get a gasket for each mm from .21 to 1.61)
note this is information is production gaskets not specialised after market multi layer copper gaskets which can be up to 3mm thick and cost around $500 AU each(which I found scary)
the standard steel gasket for a N/A engine is .51mm and the standard fibre gasket is 1.50mm
Turbo engines are a completely different kettle of fish
steel gaskets AFAIK range from .21mm to 1.3 mm
fibre gaskets AFAIK range from .8mm to 1.61 mm
Turbo engines run gaskets to suit the application from .21mm to 3mm
Im sure thicker or thinner could be made as well
what other thicknesses and materials have been used?

after a little more reading, emailing and general badgering of gasket sellers I've been told and discovered in the various FSMs, that the EJ22 and the EJ20 SOHC engines have the same bore diameter of 92mm.
(SIGH) meaning that the head gasket kit for an EJ20 is the same as the EJ22 remembering that this is the SOHC engine looks like Im going to have to confirm this physically at some point as EJ22 SOHC gasket kits are a third the price of the EJ20 SOHC kit

I wouldn't believe the sales persons that you have been talking too
EJ22 SOHC (or DOHC for that matter) = 97mm Bore diameter

fair enough he was quoting Ej22e and Ej20e motors
so Im not sure where he was getting his information from.

Just to throw a spanner in the works........
I was under the impression that ej22 is 96.9mm bore????
and I think you will find that the ej20 is 92.00

actually I thought it was all a bit odd myself that why I posted and have re- read the FSM and it seems that you cant always trust the ones that are downloaded from the net, seems someone put an EJ20 specs sheet into an EJ22 FSM a bit cruel I think. I didn't check displacement just bore size my bad
glad I didn't trust this guy Ive since sent him an email pointing out the difference in bore sizes and ive not heard back from him
